The objective of Carlos Albizu University (CAU) Master of Business Administration (MBA) Concentration in Organizational Management is to provide you with the best in-class, high-quality, and practice-oriented educational experience. Our MBA program is designed to provide you with the following:
- A rigorous business curriculum delivered to you by outstanding qualified experts in a creative, intellectually, and challenging environment.
- The ability and know- how to meet the business challenges of rapid technological change, a knowledge-based economy, globalization, and the ethical demands of a free society.
The MBA Program at CAU is offered in a non-traditional "fast-track" delivery format in the Organizational Management Concentration. Our “fast-track” MBA students complete one cluster of three courses per academic session, attending once a week, one course at a time. The format is uniquely designed so that you can attend evening or weekend classes once a week, completing one intensive course at a time. This, in turn, permits you to receive in depth training in one subject area, before moving on to the next.
CAU’s MBA Program provides a convenient schedule of classes that will allow you to earn your degree from a regionally accredited university without overlooking the demands of your career and busy family life.
Our curriculum is designed to transform you by expanding your ideas, knowledge, and capabilities. Case discussions, lecture series, and in class teamwork will provide you with the practical skills needed for today’s work environment and with the theoretical knowledge that will empower you to lead organizations in today’s multicultural and global environment.
Most importantly, you will have an opportunity to expand your horizons by learning the following key curriculum objectives:
Perspectives — you will have an opportunity to complete courses such as Ethics in Management and Strategic Leadership, to give you the broad context of managerial issues.
Foundations — you will be provided with groundwork, such as how to use accounting to understand the performance of a company or how to build models and use economic theory to project future outcomes.
Personal Leadership — you will develop self-awareness of your own strengths, weaknesses, and identity coupled with an understanding of the factors influencing leadership styles and how to best apply them.
Innovative Thinking — you will have the ability to think creatively and to develop new solutions to old problems
The Organizational Management Concentration is designed to develop your interpersonal and the management skills needed to advance your career objectives, as well as to develop your long-term perspective and value system. You will also gain knowledge on how to manage people and organizational systems, build your leadership capabilities, and become well versed in team building and employee motivation. In addition to the core curriculum required of all CAU MBA students, the specific courses required for the Organizational Management Concentration are: Organizational Diagnosis and Change Management, (GEBB517), Beyond Quality Management and Continuous Improvement (MGMT635), and Building Competitive Advantage through HR Development, (HRMT648).
