The Cross Cultural Studies minor is designed to enhance your cultural awareness and develop the ethnic fluency skills that you can apply to any aspect of your future careers. In addition to the core courses required of all CAU’s Bachelor of Science in Psychology students, the specific courses required for the Cross Cultural Studies minor are: Multicultural America (AMH202), African American Experience (AMH201), Latin American Cultures (AMH203), The Acculturation Process (PSY102), and Asian Cultures (ASN100).
Graduates from Carlos Albizu University Bachelor of Science in Psychology Program go on to seek gainful employment as social workers, case managers, human resource professionals, certified addiction professionals, behavioral technicians at hospitals, child life specialist, associate behavior analysts, and entry level positions in corrections and law enforcement. Some of CAU’s graduates have applied their studies in psychology to enter the Miami- Dade County Public School system to teach in areas with a critical shortage of teachers.
